Gompm Alm 1.800 m

The Gompm Alm alpine hut sits is situated within the Hirzer excursion paradise, at an altitude of  1.800 m. 
The hut, property of the Gufler family since the 1930’s, has been converted into a unique mountain restaurant.
Gompm Alm can be reached from Saltusio with the Hirzer cableway or from Verdines with the Verdines cableway.

Fruit, vegetables and meat are carefully selected exclusively from the local biologic production. We use these fresh products to create new dishes every day. The home baked bread, our biologic dairy products, our own juices and wine, the selection of spirits and our home baked cakes make this alpine hut a very special place.

And we also have a playground for children and an area with animals that can be caressed, a lawn with deckchairs and an outdoor bowling lane.

Every 1. Sunday from June till October authentic popular music. On this days the Hirzer , Verdines  and Grube cableways will offer incredible discounts.

"Delicacies from the alpine hut" - Every Thursday, from the beginning of June to the end of October we host special events dedicated to the hut’s delicacies, aiming to inform our guests about our local mountains’ products and culture.

"Alternative Törggelen" - Every Sunday in October 2010.

Sun. 7th.       
Opening of the musical and gastronomic season with the Herbert Pixner Projekt band, and a full day of activities and surprises for the younger ones. You will also be able to see our home bread baking process.


July

11.Gompm Alm Festival -  on the 11th&12th we will run the 11th edition of the „Gompm Alm Festival“,  well known beyond regional borders and a ‘must’ for the South Tyrolean music scene. With its enchanting location, the live performances of important local band, star guest appearances from the international Rock-Blues and Pop scenes the Alps’ highest festival has by now reached a sort of  ‘cult’ status that attracts thousands of visitors both locally and from abroad.

„Delicacies from the alpine hut“

Every Thursday, from the beginning of June to the end of October we host special events dedicated to the hut’s delicacies, aiming to inform our guests about our local mountains’ products and culture.
From June to the end of September we will delight our guests with a variety of traditional and modern rustic dishes and tasty recipes prepared with herbs from the local woods and grazing.
During harvest time in October we offer tasty traditional dishes and modern creations for the Törggelen and authentic popular music with Herbert Pixner.
During each of these events you will be able to watch the baking of our rustic bread.

•    Delicious four course theme menu (€ 25 per person) by reservation only (by 19:00 on Wednesdays). Reservation is not required for the other menus.
Herbal cuisine: a selection of delicacies and recipes prepared with herbs from local grazing and woods. Watch the baking of our rustic bread.
